At Lager & Vine, we’ve taken the best of our past experiences to create something unique — a place where great food, a lively bar, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere come together. The story of Lager & Vine begins with two people who spent years learning the ins and outs of the restaurant industry, each from a different perspective. Katie and Cliff’s journey started in their early 20s when they met while working at Stouffer’s restaurants. What began as a professional connection quickly turned into a shared passion for food and hospitality — and eventually, a partnership both in business and life.

Katie’s journey took her through the world of craft beer and innovative food at Cleveland Chophouse & Brewery, a place that prided itself on house made brews and bold flavors. Cliff, on the other hand, came up through the ranks of the fine dining world at Hyde Park Restaurant Group and Fleming’s Steakhouse & Wine Bar, where a robust wine list and impeccable service were at the heart of every guest experience. When we decided to open our own place, we knew we wanted to combine the best elements of both worlds — scratch-made dishes, a carefully curated beverage selection, and exceptional service that makes you feel like part of the family.
